Thank you so much for your interest in Writing from the Center: Learning to Tell Your Story. Selu Conservancy is a beautiful place and the day promises to be highly rewarding and memorable. I’m proud to be working with my dear friend and wise soul Holly Haworth. Holly is a brilliant investigative journalist who writes about lightning bugs, medicinal plants, sacred trees, coal ash, and so much more. You can find her work for OnBeing here. As for myself, I very much look forward to being with friends old and new at Selu.
The workshop will be chock-full of practical, hands-on information that will help you hone your writing skills and be the writer you desire to be. Holly and I will share with you all our writing and editing secrets and speak as honestly and thoroughly as we can about how to get where you want to go. Plus there’s the added joy of the public reading at 4, where you’ll get to hear short pieces from the two of us, as well as from Rick Van Noy, author of A Natural Sense of Wonder, which looks at children and wildness.
We hope you come spend the day focusing on your writing in a lovely spot on the planet.
Cost is $155 & includes morning coffee bar with healthy snacks and a lunch that is as local and organic as possible. If you are a student or otherwise low-income and unable to pay the full fee, please be in touch.
